Fire crews quickly knocked down a house fire on Thursday afternoon in Âé¶¹¾«Ñ¡.
Around 2:30 p.m. on Mar. 7, the Âé¶¹¾«Ñ¡ Fire Department (KFD) received multiple calls of a structure fire in the 2000 block of Richter Street.
Upon arrival, crews could see smoke from the rear of the house. They were able to quickly douse the blaze, but the interior of the home sustained heavy damage, according to KFD.
Two adults and five children were in the house when the fire started but all got out safe.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
KFD responded to the scene with three engines, a safety unit, a rescue unit, a command unit, totalling 15 personnel. Âé¶¹¾«Ñ¡ RCMP, emergency services, and FortisBC also attended the scene.
