鶹ѡ-Lake Country BC United MLA Norm Letnick said goodbye in the Legislature today (May 16).

“First and most of all to my family and especially Helene for her sacrifices over the past 43 years and especially those of the last 15, I love you, honey,” he said.

Letnick is not running in the next provincial election after announcing in April 2023 that he would be stepping down at the end of his current term.

“Thank you to all my caucus family. You are a great team and I care for each and every one of you.”

Letnick also praised his teams in Victoria and 鶹ѡ for their support since he first became MLA in 2009.

“But most of all I thank my constituents and wish our BC United candidates throughout the province good luck in the upcoming election,” he added. “It has been a privilege to serve and a lifelong dream of mine will soon be completed.”

Letnick also sat on the municipal council in 鶹ѡ from 2005 to 2008 and Banff from 1992 to 1998.
