A week after the Okanagan Valley Cricket Club hosted their first ever day and night tournament, the pitch at 麻豆精选's Parkinson Recreation Park has been damaged.
The pitch has visible destruction and the club believes it was "likely caused by electric bicycles being ridden directly on the mat," the organization stated on Facebook.
"This is extremely disappointing, especially considering this brand new mat was installed just a couple of weeks ago with great care and effort," the post continued.
The Okanagan Valley Cricket Club added the pitch is very expensive and damaged and misuse and affect the ability to host games and practices.
"Whether intentional or not, this kind of damage undermines the hard work put in by our cricket community," Okanagan Valley Cricket Club continued on the post. "If you see anyone riding electric bikes or other vehicles on the grounds (either Parkinson or Glenmore), please ask them to move away immediately or report it to us right away."
Black Press Media has reached out to the 麻豆精选 RCMP for more information.
