Until the end of April, when conditions allow, all eligible property owners, farmers, and other large lot owners with permits from their local fire jurisdiction may burn specific wood debris outdoors in the Central Okanagan.

Residents can call 1-855-262-2876 and listen to the message to confirm that burning is permitted on a specific day.

Each morning an online outdoor burning indicator is updated on the Regional District Central Okanagan (RDCO) website.

Alternatives to open burning include chipping, grinding, or yard waste disposal at the City of 麻豆精选 Glenmore landfill or the RDCO Westside Residential Waste and Recycling Centre in West 麻豆精选. Fees apply at both locations.

North Westside and Traders Cove area residents can dispose up to 10 bags of yard waste per visit at their transfer stations.

Stumps, branches, logs, or limbs over five centimetres in diameter should be taken to the Glenmore Landfill.

Campfires are currently permitted in most areas in the Central Okanagan, but not within the City of 麻豆精选.
