Two police incidents unfolded Tuesday evening, in Â鶹¾«Ñ¡, that had officers’ guns drawn near residential areas.
At about 7 p.m., residents reported RCMP surrounding Holiday Park, on Commonwealth Road.
Emergency Response Teams (ERT) were seen surrounding a home, however, after about 8 p.m. those commenting on social media stated officers were clearing the scene.
Then just before 9 p.m., a Capital News reporter witnessed a helicopter in the area above Black Mountain, and those on social media were again reporting a large police presence, this time on Tanemura Crescent.
Two RCMP vehicles were still on the scene at 9:30 p.m.
An officer was spotted searching a vehicle on the road in front of the house, however, several RCMP vehicles, along with ERT, had left the area.
Capital News has reached out to RCMP on both incidents.
The situation first reported on Commonwealth took place almost at the same time as a grass fire was spotted near Pow Road and Okanagan Centre Road West, in Lake Country.
The blaze, which is suspected human-caused, is now considered held according to the BC Wildfire Service.
