Four highway alerts are in place for the Coquihalla, Allison Pass, Okanagan Connector and Kootenay Pass, due to snow in the forecast.
Environment Canada issued the alert on Tuesday morning, stating, 2 to 4 cm of snow could fall along the mountain passes starting Tuesday evening.
An upper trough of low pressure will bring a cooler airmass to the southern B.C. Interior over the next couple of days. Snow levels will drop below the passes for most high-elevation routes tonight and snowfall can be expected through Wednesday morning.
According to Environment Canada, the snow level is forecast to rise above the mountain passes on Wednesday afternoon.
