More snow is on the way for B.C.鈥檚 Interior highways.
Starting tonight (Dec. 27), Environment Canada is forecasting 10 to 15 cm on the Coquihalla Highway, from Hope to Merritt, Highway 3, from Paulson Summit to Kootenay Pass, and on the Trans-Canada Highway, from Malakwa to Eagle Pass.
According to Environment Canada, a Pacific weather system approaching southern B.C. will give snow to some of the highway mountain passes. The snow will fall tonight and is expected to intensify through Saturday and taper off to flurries by Saturday night as the system departs.
Motorists are warned that weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions.
鈥淚f visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance,鈥 advises DriveBC.
Check DriveBC for updates on road conditions before hitting the highways.
