UPDATE: Wildfire now held off Coquihalla in Coldwater

The fire was first reported at about 11:30 a.m. Wednesday

Area wildfire sparked on April 23.

UPDATE: 1:10 p.m.

The wildfire that sparked near Comstock Road in the Coldwater area is now being reported as held. 

The blaze is suspected human caused. 

The fire is not anticipated to spread beyond the control lines. 


BC Wildfire is responding to a blaze off of the Coquihalla Highway in Coldwater. 

The out-of-control wildfire was first reported near Comstock Road at about 11:30 a.m.

The blaze is an estimated .009 hectares in size and is spreading. 

The cause of the wildfire is under investigation.
