Residents in southeast 麻豆精选 may see smoke from a planned wood debris burn near Hydraulic Lake.
The BC Wildfire Service will burn two piles of debris approximately one kilometre West of Highway 33 and 25 kilometres southeast of 麻豆精选 beginning Friday, Nov. 1.
Smoke may be visible in the surrounding area including McCulloch, Idabel Lake, Highway 33 and Big White. The exact timing of the burns will depend on weather, site and venting conditions, and snowfall.
The burns, scheduled to be completed by Nov. 29, are part of an ongoing fuels management project with the Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen. Pile burning helps reduce wildfire hazards by reducing accumulations of fuels on the landscape.
