Motorists should avoid driving along Highway 1 between Mount Revelstoke and Glacier national parks from 12 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, DriveBC has informed.
Parks Canada will close a 36.5-kilometre stretch of the Trans-Canada Highway in both directions for the two hours to perform avalanche control work.
The closure runs between the west limits of Mount Revelstoke National Park, and Hemlock Grove Boardwalk on the west side of Glacier National Park.
Motorists can expect access to Highway 1 through the parks to resume as of 2 p.m. Wednesday.
