Letter: Westsiders die waiting to get to KGH

People have passed away after suffering major health issues, due to the long time it takes to get into Â鶹¾«Ñ¡.

To the editor:

I do not feel it is the best idea for Interior Health to share a building with the City of West Â鶹¾«Ñ¡.

So many people I have spoken to are very disappointed that the land obtained some time back, between Bering and Butt Roads, continues to sit empty. It would be such a benefit for Interior Health to have their own building there.

Many would also like Westbank to have a small emergency clinic where ambulances could take patients to stabilize them before transporting them via helicopter or ambulance to Â鶹¾«Ñ¡ General Hospital. Numerous Westside people have passed away after suffering major health issues, due to the long time it takes to get into Â鶹¾«Ñ¡ with the heavy traffic.

I hope Christy Clark can do what she can to support Interior Health to get this building going.

Betty Hersey, Westbank
