A champions homecoming is planned to welcome home Vernon鈥檚 own Shanda Hill.
Come and meet the sole human on Earth to have ever conquered three double deca ultra triathlons.
Hill is flying home this weekend from Mexico, where she placed first in the DecaUltraTri Continuous Double Deca.
A homecoming for anyone interested in meeting the ultra athlete takes place Sunday, Oct. 29 at the Elks Lodge, from 12 to 3 p.m.
Her performance follows her triumphant campaign in Buchs, Switzerland, last month.
Coun. Akbal Mund took a moment to congratulate Hill during Vernon Council Monday.

Coun. Kari Gares adds: 鈥淪he鈥檚 actually leading the pack, she鈥檚 the only one who鈥檚 done it (double deca) three times.鈥�
