UPDATE: Local Syilx teams advance to the finals of All-Native Tournament

Both the U17 boys and girls teams play in the championship games this afternoon

Update - Both the U17 boys and girls Syilx teams will be going for gold at the All-Native basketball tournament this afternoon (March 25).

The boys beat the Snuneymuxw Native Sons 90-75 in the semi-finals yesterday. They take on the winner of this morning鈥檚 semi-final. They could play the Prince Rupert Strikers or face the Snuneymuxw Native Sons again. Syilx also beat Prince Rupert 83-69 on Wednesday.

The girls advanced to the finals after beating the Tseshaht Pride 71-53 yesterday afternoon and, like the boys, will take on the winner of this morning鈥檚 semi-final. The semi-final is between the Pride and the Timberwolves.

Both championship games will take place at 麻豆精选 Secondary School on Friday afternoon. The girls game will take place at 2 p.m. while the boys is at 3:30 p.m.
