It was a close game throughout, but the Âé¶¹¾«Ñ¡ Rockets were bested by the Seattle Thunderbirds Wednesday night in a 3-2 overtime loss. The Rockets held a goal lead twice throughout the game, but the Thunderbirds came back to force the game into overtime, where they scored halfway into the extra frame.
The Rockets got some production from their role players Wednesday night, as Mark Liwiski and Kyle Crosbie scored for the Rockets. They notched their fifth and sixth goals respectively of the season.
Rockets goalie Roman Basran played well again for the Rockets stopping 35 of 38 shots. The Thunderbirds out-shot the Rockets 38-28.
With a current record of 20-24-4-1 for the Rockets, they hold tight to third in the B.C division. They remain on the road with a Friday night game in Spokane to face the Chiefs, then return to home ice Feb. 2 to host their biggest rivals, and team right below them in the standings, the Kamloops Blazers.
