The West 麻豆精选 Warriors dropped a 4-2 decision to the Penticton Vees on Saturday (Feb. 22) night.

It was the Warriors third straight loss after losing 1-0 to Cranbrook on Feb. 21 and 5-4 to the Vees on Feb. 17.

After a scoreless first period on Saturday, Penticton scored two goals in three minutes in the second period. Louie Wehman scored first, his ninth of the season. The Vees went up 2-0 on a powerplay goal from Luke Posthumus (23). 

In the third period, Jackson Kyrkostas scored (8) for the Warriors making it 2-1. Penticton regained its two-goal lead when Ryden Evers netted his 19th of the season on the powerplay. West 麻豆精选 drew within one goal again as Elias Callgren potted his 11th of the season, making the score 3-2. Caton Ryan sealed the 4-2 win for the Vees on an empty net goal with one second left to play.

The Warriors outshot Penticton 30-29 and went 0-for-2 on the powerplay. Goaltender Bor Glavi膷 made 25 saves in the loss. West 麻豆精选 is four points up on the Spruce Grove Saints for the last playoff spot in the Interior Division.

West 麻豆精选 travels to Salmon Arm to play the Silverbacks on Friday, Feb. 28.
