West Âé¶¹¾«Ñ¡ Warriors wrap up weekend with win over Prince George

The Warriors lost to Penticton in overtime Friday but beat the Spruce Kings on Saturday

After an overtime loss to Penticton Friday (Mar. 8) night, the West Âé¶¹¾«Ñ¡ Warriors bounced back with a win over Prince George on Saturday night.

The Warriors’ Trent Wilson (17) led the way with two goals, one each in the first two periods. Felix Caron and Jackson Kyrkostas assisted on both goals.

Jack Pridham made it 3-0 at 14:04 of the second with Caron and Kyrkostas assisting.

The Spruce Kings got on the scoreboard 19 seconds later on a goal by Kazumo Sasaki. JR Perdion pulled Prince George within a goal at 17:46.

West Âé¶¹¾«Ñ¡â€™s Johannes Løkkeberg (11) netted the insurance marker at 17:46 of the third period for the 4-2 win. Carter Oakenfold assisted on the goal.

The Warriors went 0/2 on the power play and goaltender Matthew DellaRusso stopped 23 of 25 shots in the win.

West Âé¶¹¾«Ñ¡â€™s record is now 29-10-10-0 and they sit in second place in the Interior Division, nine points back of Penticton.

The Warriors’ next game is Fri, Mar. 15 at Royal LePage Place against the Vees.
