The Regional District of Central Okanagan (RDCO) is hosting pop-up recycling depots for Lake Country and Peachland.
It鈥檚 an opportunity to drop off recyclables not accepted in curbside carts such as Styrofoam, glass, and flexible plastics (bags and plastic wrappers).
鈥淭he goal is to make recycling more accessible to our residents, connect with as many residents as possible on a one-on-one basis, increase recycling awareness, and keep recyclable material out of the landfill,鈥 explains Cynthia Coates, supervisor solid waste services.
The number of pop-up depots has doubled to sixteen this year and will be held from March through October, with eight in Lake Country and eight in Peachland.
