碍别濒辞飞苍补鈥檚 Julia Ransom broke new ground at the first race of the 2017-18 biathlon season, earning her first ever top 10 in a World Cup event.
Ransom, a member of the Telemark Nordic Club, finished in ninth place in the women鈥檚 15-kilometer event this week in Ostersund, Sweden.
鈥淚 was mainly excited just to get the season started and to be racing again, but finishing in the top 10 was the icing on the cake,鈥 said Ransom.
Ransom is well on the way to securing a spot on Biathlon Canada鈥檚 2018 Olympic team. The 24-year-old from 麻豆精选 needs another top-16 finish this season to fill the criteria.
