The RCMP are continuing to take measures to discourage bicycle theft in 麻豆精选 with the use of 'bait bikes'.
On Oct. 10, the 麻豆精选 RCMP Community Safety Unit deployed a bait bike in the downtown core.
In the early afternoon, officers received notification that the bike was stolen. Less than four minutes later, Mounties apprehended the suspect who was riding the bike.
The suspect was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court in January for Theft Under $5,000.
